FC Den Bosch gave its best, but eventually it was not enough to advance to the next playoff round in the Dutch Eerste Divisie. The team supported by FutureNet lost the second playoff game against Go Ahead Eagles 0:1, and key goal was shot just before the end of this crazy game.

In game 1 of this series, FC Den Bosch tied with Go Ahead Eagles 2:2. It was a result scored in away game and it placed FC Den Bosch in very comfortable position, as goals scored on someone else’s pitch are worth twice as much. In revenge game, Den Boschers could win or even allow itself to draw like 0:0 or 1:1. It was a dream start to the revenge.

The 1st half of this game was even. Both teams knew that any risk could destroy its dreams about winning the promotion to the next round. That’s why any offensive attempts were developed wisely and carefuly. During first 45 minutes, Go Ahead Eagles was closer to open the game’s score when Van der Venne shot the bar of FC Den Bosch’s goal.

In the 2nd half, FC Den Bosch made its offensive performance a little bit more intensive. Van der Sande, Holla and Blummel had their scoring chances but eventually, they ran out of luck.

Just before the end of the game, FC Den Bosch’ hopes were doomed. In 89th minute, Jeroen Veldmate find the way to the hosts goal and gave a 1:0 lead for Go Ahead Eagles. With this result, guest team had the promotion secured and FC Den Bosch was out of the playoff. In the additional time, our team didn’t manage to tie the game. FC Den Bosch was just a milimeters away from the success but football is cruel sometimes. Eventually, Go Ahead won 1:o in Den Bosch and eliminated our team from the playoff.

We’d like to thank to entire FC Den Bosch team and club for their performance in the season which has just ended. It was impressive how you fought, played and tried to be better and better all the time.
