THE DAY OF TRUTH FOR VFB STUTTGART

Published by Cyber Flows on

Today everything will become clear. We’ll learn wheter VfB Stutgart remained in the top German league or was degraded to the Second Bundesliga for at least a year.

A few days ago, VfB Stuttgart and Union Berlin tied for the first time in relegation playoff series. In Stuttgart, Union managed to score surprising result as the game finished with a draw 2:2. Now, the Berliners are in more comfortable position because even a goalless draw will get the job done for them and secure them promotion to the Bundesliga. On the other hand, VfB Stuttgart in Berlin will have to reach to its deepest resources of skills, motivation and experience to get a safe result. The team from Stuttgart needs to win or draw at least 3:3 t0 stay on its current place, meaning: in the top German league.

– We now have a final ahead of us, and calculations no longer come into it. It all depends which of the two teams puts in the better performance in this pressure situation, and knowing what’s at stake manages to dig a little deeper. It’s in our own hands, we just need to play well and do the things that weren’t so good in Thursday’s home leg a whole lot better – said Nico Willing, the interim coach of VfB Stuttgart, quoted by the club’s official website.

In Berlin, VfB will play probably without its important player Daniel Didavi who suffers from muscle injury. On the other hand, Santiago Ascibar and Steven Zuber will be available for the coach Willig.

We keep our fingers crossed for VfB Stuttgart!
