Schumacher knows for sure: ‘He is the number one candidate for Red Bull Racing’

Alexander Albon is under pressure at Red Bull Racing and Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg seem to be the best candidates for the seat next to Max Verstappen. According to Ralf Schumacher Hulkenberg is candidate number one for Helmut Marko.

In recent years Red Bull Racing has continuously chosen its own talent. After succeeding with Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen, they also tried this with the other talents. Personally, I believe that Nico is the number one candidate at Red Bull for several reasons. First of all, Red Bull does not need the money. Sergio Perez is also a good driver, but Nico came back very strong this year”, says Schumacher at Sky Sports.

”I don’t have all the figures in front of me, but I know that Red Bull as a brand has always struggled on the German market. So that would mean that a friendly German driver by name, because Nico is very well known, would be a logical step for Red Bull”, Schumacher also explains the marketing advantages of a German driver.
