Helmut Marko: “There was a brief disagreement, but Horner stays”

Helmut Marko says that Christian Horner should remain team boss of Red Bull Racing. There was only one ‘difference of opinion’ between Horner and the team.

The Silly Season is in full swing, but normally there is speculation about the drivers. At Red Bull there were some rumours this year that there could also be a change at the pit wall. There seemed to be some problems between Horner and his team, but Marko puts this into perspective in conversation with F1-insider.com.

“There are no problems. Of course we want to keep Horner. The only thing that has happened recently is that Horner is against the planned budget cap, which saves all teams money. But as a team we were in favour. That’s why there was a brief disagreement”, Marko says.
