Don’t Worry, Melania Trump Has Her Eye on Hurricane Season

Published by Cyber Flows on

Hurricane season is coming, and it’s in all likelihood going to be a bad one. In a lot of ways the season is already here; it’s still early to know for sure, but it seems we might be off to a record start. Still, it’s never too late to get ready. As they say, if you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready. And, sure, hurricanes happen every year, but it doesn’t stop one from getting ready again and again, especially for a bad one.

Take Melania Trump, for example. The Trumps have experience in how damaging hurricanes can be, but that didn’t stop the first lady from going to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) headquarters in Washington, D.C., and FEMA and the American Red Cross briefed her on resources available to families on Wednesday, according to a press release from the White House. They talked about state programs for educating kids on disaster preparedness. Education is so important, especially for the young ones! So is learning from old hurricane literacy mistakes.

So it’s great that the first lady is doing everything she can ahead of destructive forces in order to help keep American families safe. That’s a first lady who is doing the work.
