Max Verstappen gave it absolutely everything.

Max Verstappen has been named ‘Driver of the Day’ for the second time this season after his fourth place in Monaco. Fans cast their vote worldwide during the Monaco Grand Prix, of which the Dutchman eventually gathered the most.

Starting from third position, Max managed to stay ahead of Valtteri Bottas’ Mercedes at his pit stop under the safety car. However, an ‘unsafe release’ at that stop gave the Dutchman a time penalty of five seconds. Despite Max being flagged second – after putting pressure on much of the race for Lewis Lewis – the penalty threw him back to P4.
